LONG overdue update

So I have been busy designing and not much time for blogging in my schedule. Between chasing after my 2 year while trying to paint my little illustrations, I'm sure you can understand. Life just got a little bit busier too! I made it into the So you Think You Can Design competition at Digiscrapaddicts. I found out on Saturday that I made that first cut! Woot. Our first challenge was to choose one of 4 palletes and to create a kit from it. I chose this pallete:

I've been painting pretty much nonstop since Sunday. And thanks to an absessed tooth had time in the wee hours to paint(since it hurt too much to sleep). Thankfully that is all taken care of! Maybe my next kit will be a dentist one!

MLE Card debuts at digichick!

I am SO excited for my solo debut at digichick! I have been designing my butt off the past 3 weeks to prepare for this moment and I feel a little bit of relief that its finally here. One thing I cannot seem to get past is how much work is involved in bringing one of my ideas to fruition. Designers work hard, very hard. I have a newfound respect for all of them! I'm sure it gets easier as time passes. But I just had to post this so someday I can look back on this and chuckle at my newbie-ness!

Onto the fun stuff. I created 4 fabulous entries for my new shop. A full kit called "Little Sous Chef" that is perfect for scrapping your recipes or pictures of your kids helping bake or a bake sale. Honestly the possibilities are endless. There are so many goodies packed into it. I kind of went a little overboard. There are 20 papers, all hand painted. And over 25 watercolor elements that are just cute as can be. Along with some neat frames and lots of stitches.
